The flies were attacking | Ocean City Beach Photographer

I had a recent beach session with past clients of mine who contacted me for their parents 50th wedding anniversary. They were spending the week in Ocean City NJ where they have spent most of their lives as kids going to the beach. They wanted a gift to give to their parents for their anniversary. It was a beautiful night for a shoot, barely a cloud in the sky. As we were walking to the beach, a surfer said to us “Good Luck, you’ll need it!” I looked down at this legs and they were covered in flies. Oh no! Let me tell you , everyone was a trooper. The flies were biting like crazy. I have to hand it to the kids they did great. No one got really upset and it was probably the quickest session in history to save our poor ankles. We tried to stay down by the water and the rock getty to get away from them but they still found us. Thank you Stewart family for being so wonderful  during that crazy session. ( Not all the pictures are here because I think some are going to be used for Christmas cards and I don’t want to spool the secret.)

3 generation photo shoot | Shamong NJ Family & Child Photographer

One of my clients saw my newsletter about being a mom and not in any of your own photos with your kids. She wanted to have a photo session with her daughter and her mother. What a great idea. We decided to go to a new spot to try it out. Medford Leas Arboretum . I had never been there before and it was different than what I had envisioned in my head. We were able to find some cute areas to have our session. It is a very relaxing area and I can see the residents there really enjoying it. Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Of course we had to end the session with a few of  M and her American Girl doll. They are so special at that age!

Photo session with my daughter | Moorestown Child & Baby Photographer

Alittle late to the party but I finally got the photo shoot done with at least one of my children. My daughter agreed to have a mini photo shoot with me. We set up the tripod, went to a local park and had some fun. I’m sure the people at the park got a kick out of seeing me running back and forth from the camera to where we were shooting. I did bring my remote but I left it in the car and didn’t feel like walking all the way back to get it. So I got a little exercise in the process. Here are a few from that morning. One is blurry but I loved the idea of the shot so I included it anyway.

Beautiful Young Woman | Moorestown, NJ Senior Photographer

Many things are happening here at Michelle Baker Photography, LLC~ new website and a couple of continuing education classes these next few months. This month I was working on Senior Photography. I needed a model and Rosie volunteered. She was the perfect model. She was very calm and cool in front of the camera and took suggestions very easily. Her images are beautiful, just as beautiful as she is. I’m hoping to see her when she is a senior so we can do a full senior shoot. I can’t wait to see those images. Thanks again Rosie for your help.

Mommy & Me mini sessions | Moorestown Children Photographer

Welcome May! It is a very special month in our household… Mothers Day, my birthday, my sisters birthday and my husbands birthday. Needless to say, we are usually very busy! So because it is such a special month around here, we are going to celebrate it! For the month of May, I am offering a special package called Mommy and Me. I know as mothers we are rarely in front of the camera. There is always that excuse…” I need to lose some weight, I don’t look good right now etc.” Well, here is your chance to be in those pictures. I can say I am guilty of this myself. I am never in any pictures with my kids. I recently have tried to change my outlook because my best friend from college has been diagnosed with cancer and I think, “What if I’m not here, what pictures would my kids have of me?” NONE!

So in honor of my birthday and Mothers Day, for the whole month of May I am offering Mommy and Me mini sessions. It includes a 15-30 min session outdoors in a natural setting. We will hug, kiss and play with your children. No stiff posed shots. Just you and your kids doing what you do. Kids/Babies of all ages and sizes are welcome. Changes are happening!! | Moorestown Child Photographer

Hello Everyone. I hope you had a great spring break recently. We spent some much needed down time in Florida visiting my parents. The kids spent their time swimming with their cousins, going to the beach, golfing and just plain relaxing. I’ll show some pictures soon. I just wanted to give you all a heads up that my blog will be looking different starting next week. The blog and website are getting a much needed makeover and I hope you all will  like the changes. So please excuse if things might be a little messy for the next few weeks. It’ll all be back to normal soon.

Spring has sprung here in New Jersey. It is warm, the trees are budding and I have a ton of weeds in my flowerbeds! Here are some ideas for what to wear for you spring photo shoots. Remember not everyone in your group has to wear the same color. Go with color themes and complimentary colors to get the most out of your photo shoot. Let’s get out and breathe the fresh air! Beautiful Baby Boy! | Burlington County Child Baby Photographer

The K Family welcomed a new addition to their household 2 weeks early. What a beautiful baby he is. Baby Evan. His older brother was very well behaved during the session and then off to a party he went. Once we got Evan to sleep he was an angel. He let me do many neat poses and use some of my new props and hats. Thanks again K family for sharing your beautiful family with me. I hope to see you soon. Can’t wait to see all the changes in the boys.
