Here is more pictures from the family session I had at the end of the summer this year. I had a great time working with these nice young men. My children enjoyed playing with them since they haven’t seen each other in many years. They taught them a neat card game.(but I won’t say the name since it might be a bad word. We aren’t quite sure!!) My kids are still playing the game. Thanks again Laura and Bob. I hope to see you guys soon.
I thought it would be neat to see all of the walls that have been decorated with art from Michelle Baker Photography. I will start with an example from my family room. This is a grouping I have done over my fireplace mantel. We have very high ceilings in this room and a few 8×10’s were getting lost on this wall. Here is an example of what going big looks like and what an impact it will make when someone walks in the room.
The canvas on the left is 16×24. The canvas in the middle is 24×30 and the two canvases on the right are each 12×16. How wonderful do they look!! If you would like to come see them or order some artwork for your home, call to schedule an appointment. I would love to create artwork for your home.
I’m here to announce a great spot for the October 1st and 30th mini sessions. It is a cute spot right here in Moorestown. It is called Boundary Creek Natural Resource Area. The info can be found here: http://www.co.burlington.nj.us/pages/pages.aspx?cid=586 . There are wonderful pathways and a great gazebo. You can walk out to the Rancocas Creek on a boardwalk which is a nice area also for pictures.
It is located off of Creek Rd across from Tudor Lane. If you are heading towards Delran on Creek Rd the entrance will be on your right. Please meet in the parking area near the bathrooms. Try to arrive 5 min early to your scheduled appointment time to help keep me on schedule. If I am not back yet, I will be there shortly just wrapping up the session before yours.

This year Michelle Baker Photography, LLC is offering Fall mini sessions. Do you need a family photo for your holiday cards and the thought of trying to get your kids to cooperate for a picture seems like too much work? Or its been years since we’ve had a family photo and trying to fit in a full session just won’t work with our crazy schedules. Sound familiar? I thought so. This year I thought I would offer mini sessions just for you. Right now there are 2 sessions available- October 1st and Oct 30th. I can add a date in the beginning of November if we need to. You might be thinking, who is scheduling photo shoots for something that occurs in December. This is the time to do it. I will finish shooting all sessions for 2011 at the end of November. That is so I can spend some time with my family over the holidays and also to make sure all your products will be ready before the holidays.
Some specifics of the mini sessions: 20-30 min sessions for immediate family members up to 5 people. You will receive a gallery of 8-10 images for online viewing and they will be available for 1 week only. There are 3 packages available. A Deposit of 50% is due at time of booking with the remaining due the day of the session.
October 1st : 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30
October 30th: 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30
Place: a local park/setting to be selected next week

Over Labor Day weekend a couple of weeks ago, we did a photo shoot with my children and their cousins. We were trying to work on a gift for Nana and Pop-Pop. Sshh don’t tell. The kids had a great time running around playing and it was fun because it was low tide. By the end the two little ones were soaking wet. One even fell into a hole and was completely wet but he’s a boy and thought it was great. I’m not so sure his mom thought so. We still have a few weeks left for beach pictures before it gets too cold. Call or email if you are interested.
I traveled down to visit an old friend who I used to work with when I graduated from college this past weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The last time I saw these boys they were still in grade school. Now the oldest is 16!! Where has the time gone? These boys are not only handsome but very well mannered. They spend their summer at this wonderful gated community that has a beach and also is on the bay with docks. Everyone ( including kids) rides around golf carts to get places. How fun! My kids came along and even they got to drive the golf carts. Watch out!! My daughter wasn’t a very good driver. Hopefully we won’t let as much time go by the next time we see them.
I had a wonderful time on Monday with this wonderful family. 4 kids from the age of 9 to 2. We had a lot of fun playing games and the bubbles at the end were a big hit. Here’s a sneak peak (a large one) for mom. Thanks again.
July has been a busy month around here with personal things. Christopher had a baseball tournament in Myrtle Beach. Katie has been practicing for her play Oliver and also going to gymnastics practice too. I have been participating in a Photo Scavenger Hunt from the photography forum called Clickinmoms. I have been having alot of fun with it. I have found over 300 things on the list. I have one more day to find as many things as I can. If you have seen me running around with a camera and sign in my hand, now you know why. I still need some weird things– anyone have a Golden Bear Golf ball or a Gold Krugerrand coin? I also need someone with a misspelled tattoo. Send them my way. Here’s a picture of the sign I have been using.
There is a beautiful field of wheat near our house. For the last 2 years I have taken my daughter there for a photo shoot. Last years shoot, we made into a 16×24 canvas for her room. Once her room is repainted, I will show you a picture. This years turned out really beautiful. How big she is getting. She will be 10 in a few short months. What ever happened to my little girl.
This is a beautiful spot for a maternity shoot. If anyone is interested, let me know in the next week or so. I don’t think the wheat will be around for long. Usually they come through and cut it down. Call me if you are interested.

It is a busy time of year for all of the graduates of the senior class 2011. Last minute exams, end of school, parties to attend and yearbooks to sign. Just remember its not too late to have your senior portraits done. We are booking appointments through the summer until you leave for college. This is the only time of your life to have these done. Why not do it now!! I look forward to hearing from all of you.
