Little S came to see me for her Valentines Cake Smash. Lucky for her she has Valentines Day as her birthday. Her parents and brother are previous clients when I did her brothers newborn session and his cake smash. How fun was it to decorate using Valentines day props. I loved watching her different faces when she was eating her cake for the first time. And she stood unassisted for the first time!! Will she walk? Not this time. I’m sure it will happen soon! Caroline Class of 2019 from Bishop Eustace Prep came to see me for her senior portraits this fall. I took her sisters senior portraits in 2015 and also a family portrait at that time. I love it when families return to me for updated portraits or sibling portraits. How beautiful is this young lady? What an adorable Moorestown family I photographed this fall. Dad contacted me last year to get a gift of a photography session for his wife for her birthday. Their daughter was full of energy and had quite an infectious smile. She participates in American ninja warrior type activities. She climbs things, swings from things and is very strong. She loved climbing on the fences etc.

Adorable Baby C came to the Moorestown Studio for her newborn session 8 days after she was born. She was perfect. Even if she was awake she was content to just look around. We were able to get many different sets finished before the session was over. Her big sister J came to the session at the beginning. J was such a mature little girl and followed my instructions so well. You can tell she is going to be a great big sister. I’m sure she’s counting the days until C is big enough to play with her.

1 year session | Longport Beach Photographer

Baby L’s 1 year session was over the summer this year. His family decided to do his 1 year portraits at the beach in Longport, NJ. I love taking photos at the beach so I was more than excited. Baby L was smiley as usual and such a happy child. I love watching my Baby Plan kids grow up from newborn into 1 year olds. The beach is a great place to take portraits especially in the fall before it gets too cold. For one thing the beaches aren’t that crowded and its not as hot!!

Here are Baby L’s newborn photos and his 6 month photos. I love that their face remains the same even from a newborn.

What to wear for Family Portraits | South Jersey Family Photographer

It’s that time again of the year to start thinking about what to wear for your family portraits. The kids are back in school. Fall should be here soon!!(Although right now there’s a heat index of 100 degrees). Starbucks has already started serving everything pumpkin!! Fall is right around the corner. I personally can’t wait. It is my favorite season of the year.

What to wear for your family portraits? Easy question isn’t it? Not really! This is the biggest question I get asked by my clients for their fall sessions.

The easiest thing is to start with a color palette. You can google Color palette and come up with many ideas. My favorite is Design Seeds. I tell my clients to start with a neutral color….wither Black, Grey, Khaki or even Blue (like jeans for example). Then build the colors in around those and add pops of color if you wish to compliment the palette. If there are girls and boys in a family it can get tricky. Layering is also a great way to bring in some color. Jackets, scarfs, earrings and necklaces look great in a family portrait.

Here are some examples of different color palettes and how they look once photographed.

Blues as the base with some beige, grey and even a little pop of red in the portrait.

The pops of red in the children’s clothing compliments nicely with the neutral palette of the parents outfits.

Very autumnal color palette with browns and greens with the blue jeans grounding it all.

Some other ideas for you is to go to my Pinterest page and see all of the different ideas I have pinned for you all. There are some ideas for outfits there as well.

Sitter Session Baby L | Moorestown Baby Photographer

Baby Planner L is part of the Baby Plan and was in the studio for his 6-7 month sitter session. Baby L was here for his newborn session back in July of 2017.

I love the 6-7 month sitter session. It is one of my favorite ones to photograph. The babies are usually always happy and smiley. They should be able to sit for an extended period of time without falling over. You do get to see their little personalities coming out.

For some babies, the session happens at 6 months and for others it doesn’t happen until 9 months. There is no set schedule on when this session is. The only requirement is that they should be sitting up by themselves.

Mom & Me Mini Sessions | Moorestown Family Photographer

Mom & Me mini sessions are back this year again. It’s time to start thinking about Mother’s Day (about a month away). I know the weather hasn’t been the best lately here in this area. I think Mother Nature still thinks its winter. I hear its getting warmer at the end of this week. Finally!! Hopefully soon the trees will start budding and the grass will start growing and turning green.

When was the last time you were in a photo with your children? It doesn’t matter what age they are…little or big!! Remember life is short and you need to document this time for your children sake.

J’s Holy Communion | Marlton Holy Communion Photographer

It’s that time of the year again, Holy Communion Portraits!

J’s Holy Communion was last year on a pretty day at the end of April. Her dress was beautiful as was she. We took the portraits at her church’s gardens-St Joan of Arc Parish in Marlton. They have this beautiful prayer garden that is just wonderful for portraits. Especially First Holy Communion ones. I also photographed her sister a couple of years ago for her First Holy Communion portraits as well at the same place.

Spring will hopefully be here soon and the season of First Holy Communion photos will begin soon. I’m sure the girls are getting ready picking their dresses out. Such a wonderful beginning for them in the church.

Snow Portraits/Winter Portraits are sometimes the most fun!

This family I have been photographing since the older daughter had her first Holy Communion. I also photographed the son for his Holy Communion as well. I usually take some holiday portraits for them as well. This holiday season we did something different and went outside for some. It had just snowed so we got some snow portraits. The trees with the snow on them in the background made a beautiful backdrop.
